Renewables ANALYST – Asia Pacific

Rystad Energy is seeking an ambitious and motivated candidate with a strong academic record of accomplishment, an analytical mindset, good communication skills and a keen interest for the renewable energy market.

 

The Renewable Energy team is part of the analyst department in Rystad Energy and is responsible for maintaining and developing our database and products within the sector. The work consists of collecting and analysing data and presenting this to clients. This will give you a deep understanding of the regional and global solar, wind and energy storage industries. You will work in close collaboration with our consultants and business developers.

 

The Role

  • Analyse renewable energy companies across Asia and ensure they are accurately reflected in our products
  • Take ownership of delivering asset reports, commentaries on topical events and to present at key conferences
  • Perform commercial and economic evaluations of solar, wind and storage assets, including NPV, LCOE and breakeven analysis
  • Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts
  • Become an expert on the APAC renewables sector
  • Work as part of the global energy research team
  • Support our clients and business development team

 

Requirements, Experience & Skills

  • A good working knowledge of the renewables sector, through direct experience in either a research, developer or service company role is preferable but not essential
  • University degree in a data driven or energy related field such as renewable energy, mathematics, engineering or economics (Distinction or above preferable)
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and written
  • Self-motivated as well as a strong team player
  • Only candidates with Australian working rights will be considered
