Vice President, Oilfield Service Research
Oddmund is a VP Oilfield Service Research. His primary focus is on the analysis of the global offshore drilling market as well as the production and spending on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. He is also the Product Manager for RigCube, Rystad Energy’s demand & supply database covering all moveable rig activity globally. Oddmund holds a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics, including exchange programs at the University of Barcelona and Stockholm School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree from the Naval Academy. Previously he had a professional career with the armed forces of Norway.
1. What do you enjoy most at Rystad Energy?
I really appreciate the possibility to take part in a wide variety of tasks and topics within the field of oil and gas. It is also great to collaborate with skilled and fun colleagues and to be able to engage in client interaction.
2. How do you work with the different departments at Rystad Energy?
There is close interaction between the departments at Rystad Energy. One day I work with consultants on a project, on another day I work together with the Marketing Department on an article of a certain topic within oilfield service. I also often work with the sales team to support sales campaigns and the follow-up of clients.
3. Are you a morning or evening person, and how does this affect your work at Rystad Energy?
I am definitely a morning person and I like to arrive early at the office. It is nice to start the day in a quite office, enjoying a good cup coffee or two while getting started.
4. Describe the culture at Rystad Energy?
In Rystad Energy there is a lot of people with strong drive and passion for their daily work. This adds to a positive environment which is inspirational and motivating. The 20 nationalities at the headquarter in Oslo makes for a diverse setting and contributes to the energetic atmosphere.
