Rystad Energy expands its coverage of the renewables market

February 21, 2019

Rystad Energy today announced the public launch of South East Asia coverage for RenewableCube, a comprehensive solution for tracking the renewables market in great detail in this booming region.

RenewableCube, previously known as SERA Tracker, provides commercial intelligence on solar, wind and storage operations and projects – helping clients make faster data-driven decisions.

“South East Asia presents significant growth opportunity for our clients and the renewables sector.  Rystad Energy can offer users in-depth service and quality to navigate this region and make the best decisions,” said Rystad Energy Head of Renewables Gero Farruggio.

The South East Asia section of the RenewableCube currently contains more than 1,000 utility scale solar and wind assets for a total pipeline of 55 GW across four countries: Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.

Data is split along market dimensions such as geography, renewable energy type, developers, EPCs, equipment suppliers as well as equity ownership and contractual information for all assets at all stages of development in the region.

Daily data updates and regular analytics reports ensure that users have the latest market information to support business decisions in this fast evolving region.

“South East Asia is enjoying one of the highest growths in renewable energy activity. In particular, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia are expected to add at least 30 GW of renewable energy from the current 2 GW commissioned. However, selecting winning projects in this new market is challenging. Using local research know-how as well as extensive local network in the industry, we provide the most accurate and regularly updated information on South East Asian Renewables,” Minh Koi Le, Renewables Energy Analyst, remarked.

He added:

“With a database of 700 companies throughout the whole value chain currently doing business regionally in the sector, the product is perfect for investors, EPCs, suppliers and anyone who wants to enter or expand their business in the South East Asian market. Who are the main players in the market? Which technology is preferred? Where is the growth and the potential? Answer these questions and more for South East Asia with RenewableCube.”

To mark the expansion of our renewables offering, Rystad Energy will host two information sessions – in Sydney on Friday, February 22 and Tokyo on Tuesday, February 26 - where our experts will provide guests with our latest outlook for the sector. Those wishing to attend should contact Nura Karim at marketing@rystadenergy.co to reserve a place.
