Rystad Energy’s Gullkronen 2013 was last night held in Oslo with 320 guests enjoying a night of industry expertise, awards and entertainment. The event is dedicated to acknowledge high performances and achievements made by companies involved in the oil and gas business during the previous year. “Norway is a leading exploration nation and still the largest offshore market globally. We are so happy to see that companies leverage this in such an efficient way and it is great to have the opportunity to recognize these achievements,” stated Jarand Rystad, Managing Partner.

Gullkronen 2013 was hosted by Deepti Koikara Lindal and Matthew Watson, both Business Development Managers at Rystad Energy, and commenced with an NCS status report by Jarand Rystad.

During the award ceremony, the five E&P awards were given out as follows:
Newcomer of the Year: Tullow Oil
Explorer of the Year: Bridge Energy
Business Developer of the Year: Wintershall
Project Developer of the Year: Statoil (Fast-Track)
Field Operator of the Year: ConocoPhillips (Ekofisk)

The Awards for the highest achievements within the oil service sector were
acknowledged as follows:
New Venture of the Year: Cre8
Globetrotter of the Year: Norsafe
Business Success of the Year: Aker Solutions

The Honour Award of the night was given to Torstein Sannes & Hans Christen Rønnevik from Lundin Petroleum for revitalizing the NCS through finding the giant Johan Sverdrup oil field.
