Rystad Energy estimates that there will be limited growth in gas production from key North American plays until 2018. In 2016, gas supplies are expected to stay relatively flat compared to 2015, whereas production in 2017 will exhibit some year-on-year decrease. North American shale gas supplies had the strongest growth in 2011, with an increase of almost 9.6 billion cfe/d from the year before.
