What makes Rystad Energy stand out for you as an employer?

Aside from the challenging and rewarding client-facing work I’m able to do, I really enjoy the culturally diverse and friendly people that I work at Rystad Energy. I also appreciate the culture of approachability and open-mindedness that we have in the company: it’s as easy to talk to our CEO Jarand as it is to anyone in the organization. Finally, Rystad Energy is constantly evolving and supports this in us as individuals, helping me shift from Analytics to a new role in Analysis.

What inspires you to keep growing and improving in your role?

I am excited by the transformation underway in the global power sector. The rapid and pervasive uptake of rooftop and utility solar, batteries, wind, EVs and energy management systems will transform the provision and use of electricity as we know it, ultimately providing a quieter, cleaner and cheaper source of power. Being in a role where I can analyse and communicate this transformation for our clients is both an inspiration and a privilege.

What are your passions outside of work?

As a New Zealander, I was raised on water-based activities, including swimming and sailing. Perth’s fabulous climate allows me to do these things and more, including paddle-boarding and snorkeling on our beautiful reefs. As well as enjoying these pursuits with my husband, two teens, wider family and friends, I also love hiking, reading, art, movies and bee-keeping.
