Without measures, this tally could increase to 10-13% of total greenhouse gas emissions. Regulatory bodies, such as the IMO and the EU, have introduced strict regulations and clear targets for reducing carbon emissions, and the shipping industry has charted a course for the transitional journey to more viable solutions.
