2025 marks the drafting year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, a critical juncture for shaping the country’s long-term energy landscape. At the same time, the global gas industry is undergoing profound transformation, with shifting supply-demand dynamics, rising geopolitical uncertainties, and accelerating energy transition pressures. Against this backdrop, the Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange Center, together with Xinhua China Economic Information Service and other partners, will host the 2025 Gas Industry Development Conference in Beijing on 18–19 September, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss opportunities and challenges for China’s gas market.
Program
At 11:00–11:30 on 19 September, Wei Xiong, Vice President, Gas Markets Research at Rystad Energy, will deliver a keynote on “European and US Natural Gas Infrastructure Development and Inventory Trends”, sharing insights into global gas fundamentals and their implications for China’s market development.
