In this report, we explore how Brazil’s COP30 energy outlook concludes that by 2040 Brazil will grow energy demand faster than the global average on a cleaner base, with renewables and electrification transforming the power mix and transport decarbonizing gradually under new carbon‑market and fuel policies, oil and gas acting as flexible backstops, and success in meeting 2035 NDC targets hinging primarily on land‑use and agricultural emissions cuts alongside transmission, storage, and bankable investment frameworks.
