Daniel Leppert is a Senior Vice President and Head of Research for Latin America at Rystad Energy. He has more than 10 years of experience in the region’s oil, gas and energy sector, including a role leading the origination and development of gas-to-power projects for EDF do Brazil. At IHS Markit, he led consulting projects aimed at supporting strategic decisions of upstream, midstream and downstream companies, as well as institutional investors. Daniel also has consulting experience within Petrobras, where he led a team responsible for conducting the economic valuation and risk assessment of the company’s pre-salt portfolio. He holds an MSc degree in Mineral and Energy Economics from the Colorado School of Mines & IFP School, and a BSc degree in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University.
