Erik Wold

Erik Wold is in charge of the technology development at Rystad Energy. He joined the company in 2006 and has played a key role in developing our proprietary databases and technology platforms. In addition, Erik has participated in and led a number of consulting projects, of which the majority have been technology related or modelling intensive. Examples are market forecasts for existing and new products and services, due diligence, market and aftermarket strategies, and entry strategies. Projects also include system deliveries based on Rystad Energy's proprietary technology platform. Erik has 20 years of experience from scientific and technological research and development in materials science, ICT, data analysis, and sensor development. With 10 years of experience at SINTEF as Senior Scientist and Research Director, Erik has contributed to the development of new and industrially leading tools and products and has assisted client companies in developing and fulfilling their technology and product development strategies. Erik holds a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
