Jan Byrkjeland

Jan Byrkjeland is a Co-Founder of Rystad Energy from 2004. He is a Senior Partner and the Head of Consulting EMEA. Jan has made a major contribution to the development of the firm from a start-up to a renowned energy knowledge house with high-end management consulting services, proprietary databases and analytics. Jan has 25+ years of experience from the energy industry and has advised many international oilcos, oil services firms, technology companies, governments and investors. His areas of expertise include E&P valuations, infrastructure assessments, oilfield services and subsea markets. Jan has led a number of large due diligence projects for international clients. Prior to joining Rystad Energy, Jan worked as Investment Manager at Northzone Ventures. Earlier in his career, Jan worked as a R&D Manager at ABB. Jan holds a M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a MBA from INSEAD in France.
