Janiv Shah is a Vice President of Oil Markets and Downstream Analysis based in London, UK. He leads our Refinery Operations team, overseeing global refinery runs, refinery capacity and outages. Janiv also leads the Global Crude Balances team, discovering regional and global disconnects based on supply, demand, flow movements and stock changes.

Janiv has experience building complex models and discussing market implications, providing data-driven insights and signals. He is also the product manager responsible for the OTS Refinery Cube. Before his current role, he helped develop our refinery margins data, valuing crudes into key regions.

Before joining Rystad Energy, Janiv worked at Valero Energy, completing long-term optimization tasks at the refinery. He also designed refineries from concept stage through to FEED at KBR.
