Having joined Rystad Energy in 2009, Markus has more than 14 years of experience within management consulting in the energy industry. He headed up Rystad Energy’s London office in 2018-2019 and has worked on more than 150 unique projects with the core client base being investors and energy service companies, including more than 30 M&A related projects including IPOs.
With a strong focus on supply chain, Markus has covered all oil field service segments, including drilling and well services, seismic, subsea, offshore vessels, seismic and MMO. Over the last years Markus has spearheaded Rystad Energy’s consulting offering covering the offshore wind domain – working with developers entering new markets, investors searching for investment opportunities and service companies expanding into renewables organically and in-organically. Core themes covered include market assessments, entry strategies, commercial/vendor due diligence, competitor analysis and more.
He holds a MSC in Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics and Statistics from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and is a well-known speaker at OFS/supply chain conferences in Norway.
