Dr. Patricio Valdivieso is a Vice President of analysis for the oil markets team at Rystad Energy, based in Edinburgh, UK.
Patricio heads our crude trading fundamentals team, overseeing global crude supply, flows and stocks. He is also the product manager responsible for the OTAS Supply Cube and the Oil Market Cube. Before his current role, Patricio helped develop our country's crude balances, with a particular focus on the US and China.
Before joining Rystad Energy, he worked as a research associate for the British Petroleum Statistical Review of World Energy, focusing on analyzing global oil demand. Before this, he worked for international brands such as Nielsen, 3M and P&G.
Patricio holds a PhD in economics from the University of Aberdeen and an MSc in economics from the University of Edinburgh, accumulating over 15 years of experience in energy economics, statistics and econometrics.
