Claudio is Rystad Energy’s Chief Economist, responsible for creating and maintaining our house view. His research areas include the global macroeconomic and geopolitical outlook – both short-term disruptions and long-term trends - commodity markets and energy transition scenarios. He is also the Global Director of Market Analysis, leading the client-facing part of the Analysis department. An economist by training, he has worked in the oil industry for more than 20 years, starting at Shell Trading in Europe and holding a variety of strategy, commercial and market analysis roles in the US over the past two decades.
Prior to Rystad Energy, he was a global leader at S&P Global Commodity Insights. Claudio is active in the debate on commodity markets and the energy transition, contributing his views to conferences, seminars and media around the world.
