The world needs steel and will continue to do so, with demand predicted to be more than two billion tonnes per year later this decade. With steel emissions accounting for approximately 8% of global CO2 emissions, there is a pressing need for decarbonization measures. Moreover, the steel industry requires a green revolution and a serious disruption of the supply side. Can it be achieved?
