Rystad Global Energy Club
The Rystad Global Energy Club is an exclusive, high-impact event
Invitation from Jarand Rystad, CEO & Founder
We are pleased to invite you to the Rystad Global Energy Club meeting and workshop in Oslo on 15 and 16 May 2025. We will host a welcome dinner on the evening of 14 May, and we hope you will be able to join us.
This event will be a closed-door, invite-only gathering, and we at Rystad Energy are delighted to hold it at The Grand Hotel in Oslo. The focus will be on important topics relevant to National Oil and Gas Companies, particularly how they navigate the energy transition. We will discuss the balance between near-term profits and long-term sustainability, all while driving job growth and investments in their domestic markets to ensure the long-term viability of their resources.
The world is increasingly feeling the effects of global warming, with more frequent and severe extreme weather events. While many view oil and gas companies as part of the problem, we believe they can be a significant part of the solution. Oil companies possess unique capabilities necessary for the green shift, including technological expertise in carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), hydrogen, geothermal energy, offshore wind, and strategic relationships and financial resources.
National oil companies are particularly critical as leading institutions in their home countries concerning talent, financing, and relationships. For instance, Equinor is a leading force behind the green transition in Norway. It is essential for us to share our experiences in hopes of accelerating the green transition in other regions.
The meetings and workshops will provide opportunities to network with global peers, including Heads of Corporate Strategy and Heads of M&A or Business Development. You will have the chance to share ideas and explore collaborative opportunities.
We are also honored to have the Prime Minister of Norway, HE Jonas Gahr Støre, along with other distinguished guest speakers, during these two days.
I look forward to seeing you in person in Oslo in May 2025.
Best regards,
Jarand Rystad

Experience Oslo on this most festive of days: 17 May, Norway's Constitution Day! The streets will be filled with parades, people in traditional costumes and an all-around merry atmosphere! Our constitution, declaring Norway an independent nation, was signed on 17 May 1814. Despite independence not being fully achieved until 1905, this date remains Norway's National Day and is a national holiday. The highlight of the day is the big children's parade, and Norwegian flags and national costumes dominate the streets. The parade in Oslo includes some 60,000 children as well as marching bands.
